“Virtual Know Your Durban” Campaign launched
Durban Tourism, a marketing unit that forms part of the Ethekwini Municipality, South Africa has launched the groundbreaking “Virtual Know Your Durban “campaign.
The “Virtual Know Your Durban” campaign is a collaborative effort involving Durban Tourism, product owners, and stakeholders in the city’s tourism sector.
It is a direct result of the ongoing engagements between the city and a cross-section of tourism stakeholders which, among others, led to the crafting of the existing Tourism Recovery Plan for the city.
The campaign which began in June is to connect the world with the city folks and South Africans. It will create anticipation for tourists. It will also be an opportunity to give a preview of what can be discovered when travels are permitted again.
The “Virtual Know Your Durban” campaign will also showcase attractions, experiences, and tourist activities that, over the years, have made Durban a destination of choice globally.
The campaign will be hosted on various social media platforms and TV channels. It will take visitors on a virtual journey to unravel the city’s hidden gems.
The campaign aims at recovering the tourism sector by involving the local visitors in the city.
This will enable the company to focus on the domestic market, treating them with the best experiences the city has to offer.
