Opanet Emerges Winner of the GSS Acceleration Pitch Day
Opanet, an AI-fintech startup, has emerged winner of the second edition of the Acceleration Pitch Day under the Ghana Startup Summit(GSS).
The startup bagged 10,000 cedis as seed funding, technical equipment, and post-incubation support after beating out eight startups in an intense pitching competition
Opanet is an open banking infrastructure built on distributed ledger and AI technologies to facilitate innovation and collaboration among innovators, microfinance institutions, and partner banks.
Coming in second place with a cash prize of 8,000 cedis was Nutri D — a health and wellness startup that promotes healthy eating and lifestyle education.
Hamaka Company Limited was also awarded GHC 5,0000 for winning third place. It is a food processing company that processes agro-food produce into convenient home cooking foods.
Before the pitch, the startups participated in the National Acceleration Program, an initiative that provides early-stage startups with business training, resources and a platform to sell their businesses to investors as well as connect to players in the startup ecosystem
The Acceleration Pitch Day was spearheaded by Ghana Tech Lab in collaboration with other partners across the country
