Nigerian Ed-Tech Startup Launches Its Virtual Application System, Gradely For Schools
Gradely, a Nigerian ed-tech startup has inaugurated its virtual application system for schools, known as Gradely For Schools.
The effort is aimed at bridging the gap created by the pandemic between schools and students by using AI to provide real-time data and feedback.
Founded by Boye Oshinaga, Femi Ibiwoye, Seyi Adelaju, and Babatunde Caleb, Gradely For Schools is a teacher-led application system, built for personalized learning, with features such as live classes to organize and hold engaging class experiences, assessment tools to set up robust and relevant assessment formats fitted with the Nigerian and British curriculum-aligned question pool, a proctored examination system to hold credible remote academic evaluations, and a suite of personalized video lessons, practice quizzes and games library known as Gradely CatchUp! to support in-class efforts with students at home.
Emphasizing on the App, the Founder and CEO, Mr. Boye Oshinaga, said “ it offers a 30-day trial period, allows for migration of data from another platform, unlimited space restrictions, while users hold live classes with students and engage them in an interactive feed.
“Also, it uses thousands of curriculum-mapped questions to set homework and exams, with insight from reports and recommended resources to tailor interventions. So, this is what gives us the confidence to go to national and state bodies, present them with the content and seek approval for it.” he elaborated.
Gradely believes every school and parent in Africa will require a digital learning environment that complements classroom education and gives students a leg up in future exams. Gradely is such a solution, and charges schools an annual per-student fee for the application access and an additional fee for content access. It also charges parents a monthly subscription for content access as well as fees per live tutor session.
Founded in 2019 Gradely has been used by over 5,000 Nigerian parents and 200 schools as part of its beta testing, and it is now planning a wider rollout.
