India has rolled out a crowdsourced reward app called Google Task Mate which will allow users to earn money and bring more businesses online.

Though it is still in its testing period, the app will link users to a variety of tasks posted by businesses from all over the world such as clicking pictures, partaking in polls and surveys or helping translate sentences from English to other languages.

The app is available on Google Play Store but it is currently limited to selected testers who have access to the referral code system. The referral code is accessible through invite and one cannot use the app without it.

According to 9to5Google, the app was spotted by a Reddit user who says that users will be paid with real-time local currencies via a digital payments platform, not merely app store credits.

The tasks are in three steps, thus; find tasks nearby, complete a task and cash out your earnings. They are categorised as Sitting or Field tasks and one can see the number of tasks completed, correctly done, your level, and the tasks under review.

For payment purposes, users have to link partner third-party payment processors and register their e-wallets to enable them cash out.

For now, it is not clear when Task Mate will be available for more users to try out.
