Africa has Jumia, Jiji, Konga, just to mention a few, and now it has Atonzo.

Founded by Ghanaian Entrepreneur Daniel Agblo, Atonzo is a B2C platform that provides sellers and buyers with an avenue to meet and exchange goods for cash.

Beyond its exchange platform, Atonzo’s business strategy is positioned to combat fraudulent activities from vendors. Before vendors are signed up onto the platform, a video call is held by Atonzo staff to verify the credibility of the store. IDs, business certifications, and all necessary documents are thoroughly checked. Moving forward, the company will integrate an escrow system with its platform.

Additionally, the Atonzo platform has a WhatsApp button that leads buyers directly to the inbox of sellers. This WhatsApp button feature will ease stress and make communication seamless.

Speaking on the product Daniel said “I chose to call the business Atonzo because I needed something that stood with authority and significance. I thought a name well spelled out will bring a closer look to the business.”

Capitalizing on the uniqueness of the name, Daniel continued, “Atonzo means to buy or sell from any category, its highlighted letters, O and N (ON) means ‘Influence’ and the gold arc separating the O and N from the rest of the characters stands for Quality.”

With e-commerce businesses proving sustainable and a prime mode of revenue generation, it is not surprising that Atonzo has 100 registered sellers after launching in December last year.
