Ghana Tech Lab Collaborates With The Embassy Of Israel To Donate Face Shields To The Health Ministry
Ghana Tech Lab, an Information and Communication Technology company and the Israeli Embassy donated 1000 face shields to the Ministry of Health yesterday.
Israel’s Ambassador to Ghana, Shani Cooper made the donation at the embassy’s premises in Accra.
Donating the face shields, the Ambassador stated that the Personal Protective Equipment is meant for protecting Ghana’s frontline workers, who put their lives on the line in their call to duty.
She added that the donation forms part of Israel’s contribution to Ghana’s fight against the Coronavirus.
She lauded Ghana indicating that “Ghana was one of the first countries that understood that we will live with the virus until we find a vaccine.”
Madam Cooper commended the Ministry of Health, on their efforts to keep the disease under control in the country.
“Every country is dealing with Coronavirus differently, and every country has to manage its challenges, but only through global cooperation” she stated.
The Ambassador noted that the donation would go a long way in strengthening the ties between both countries irrespective of the pandemic.
Receiving the PPEs, the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye expressed gratitude to the Israeli state as well as their partners for the donation.
He stated that the PPEs will be used for the intended purpose.
